Prefects
At our school, becoming a prefect is a special opportunity for pupils to develop leadership skills and contribute to our school community. Children apply for the role during Year 5, and successful candidates take on their responsibilities in Year 6.
Prefects play an important part in the daily life of our school. Their responsibilities include:
- Greeting children and families each morning, helping everyone start the day with a warm welcome.
- Acting as playtime leaders, encouraging positive play and supporting younger pupils.
- Working as library monitors, helping to keep our reading spaces organised and accessible.
- Assisting during collective worship, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Offering support to other pupils in Homework Club, providing guidance and encouragement.
Being a prefect is a position of trust and pride. It helps children grow in confidence, responsibility, and teamwork—skills that will serve them well beyond their time at school.
