In Oak Class this Autumn, we have been exploring our own emotions and the world around us. The Colour Monster has been our companion in English lessons and we took this learning with us on the school trip around South Molton. We have started practising alliteration in our writing lessons linked to the text Ellsworth's Extraordinary Electric Ears. In Maths and during explore time, when the children access learning independently, we started by sorting colours and numbers. We have also discovered more about animals, learning about what they eat and which group of animals they belong to. 

As the Autumn term continues, we will learn about how toys have changed since the 1960s and how we use technology in our school. In Art and Design, we have completed our mono-printing projects and we will be developing our textiles skills next half term.
